The forsythia looks fabulous full of fall color. It’s almost too bad I have plans to remove this shrub. The location is good. It’s healthy. The shape is nice. It needs a bit of pruning, but it’s a nice size. If only it didn’t have those garish yellow flowers in spring. Ah well, maybe I’ll grow to appreciate them before I get around to digging up the poor thing.

    ummm – I struggle with forsythia in the spring too – they are, well, bright!

    Only thing why I have forsythia is yellow flowers… I hope you will change your mind.

    It is funny, I don’t like forsythia out in the garden, it is too bright and garish, but I love to cut it and force it in the house in the spring. Then it is sunny and springlike and I love it.
